General information:

I am a professor at the University of Lyon since 1994, and have been head of the department at the Centre Livet since 1996, now relocated in the Lyon Croix-Rousse Hospital. I am an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports injuries, total knee replacement and degenerative pathologies of the knee. I have a particular interest in sport and soccer injuries. The Lyon School is known for its expertise in the field of knee surgery and particularly patellofemoral disorders.

Team/Sports/Research/Academic Involvement:

I serve many prestigious international societies such as ISAKOS, ESSKA, and EFORT; I am also President of the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS), current President of the ACL Study Group, Executive Committee and member of numerous international medical organizations.  I am a member of the AMFL (Académie Medicale de Football de Lyon) and the Patellofemoral Study Group. To this day, I have written over 400 research publications and attendee of over 230 international congresses.
